How we work with schools:

We work flexibly with schools to deliver full, structured sessions that fit into the school day. Our programme can be delivered to whole year groups, large assemblies, or smaller select cohorts, depending on the needs of the school and how many pupils they are looking to support.

For secondary schools, we provide a complete package that includes a live performance followed by an optional question and answer and for those schools wanting to support their students further, we offer 2 optional workshops. All our sessions are designed to be accessible, engaging and easily adaptable to the individual schools timetable.

We also offer a version of the programme for year 6 students, with an adapted performance and age-appropriate workshop content to make sure the material is suitable for younger audiences.

Across all settings, we work closely with staff to ensure sessions are well-planned, appropriate for the group and supportive of wider pastoral and curriculum guidelines.

Delivery options:

We offer flexible delivery depending on your school's needs:

  • Whole year group performances

  • Large group or assembly-style sessions

  • Smaller selected groups where appropriate

Sessions are designed to fit within the school day and can be adapted to suit timetabling requirements.

Program structure:

Each booking includes:

  • Live performance of Am I Actually Living?!?

(A 50 minute theatre piece that explores young people's mental health, friendship and accessing services.)

  • Question and answer

(Where students are given the opportunity to ask questions about the show)

  • Workshop option 1: Mental health / RSE

(A structured workshop session exploring emotinal awareness, coping strategies, stigma, and where to access help.)

  • Workshop option 2: Dance and movement

(An interactive dance workshop teaching both skills and getting heart rates going to practise ways of releasing endorphins, supporting emotional expression and self awareness.)

Schools can book the performance on its own or combine it with workshops; however, when delivered together, they create the most meaningful and impactful experience for students.

Curriculum links:

All content is made to be age appropriate and delivered in a way that is engaging for different year groups.

Mostly aimed at students in years 7-13 but an adapted version of performance and workshop is also available to students in year 6.

All sessions have direct links to the curriculum across art and design, physical education, and mostly PHSE /RSE.  Topics covering emotional wellbeing education, mental health awareness and communication and self-expression skills.

We are happy to align delivery with specific school priorities where required and given enough notice.

More information about the specific curriculum goals we target can be shared when you request an initial enquiry, please specify if required.

Practical information:

Workshop sizes

Suitable for school halls or theatre spaces

(workshops can be done in classrooms as done in smaller groups)

Minimal technical requirements but schools must have a public performance license

All materials can be reviewed in advance

School teachers are required to stay in all sessions as we are not there to manage behaviour and it stops us delivering the best sessions we are able to.

Fully DBS checked team members

Risk assessments, DBS certificates and safeguarding forms can be provided upon request

We are able to run 2 workshops simultaneously of up to 60 students with 2 practitioners each.

A general school day timetable of 5 lessons would be:

lesson 1: Show

Lesson 2: Mental health workshop for groups 1 and 2

Lesson 3: Mental health workshop for groups 3 and 4

Lesson 4: Dance workshop for groups 1 and 2

Lesson 5: dance workshop for groups 3 and 4

This way we can work with 240 students in a dat for workshops but if your school has more students in a year, there is some adaption to this.

This is also adaptable to schools with 6 lessons a day.
